I just found that Tamera over at dainty & dirty is having a moving sale of epic proportions! She’s getting ready to move back home to Vermont next month, so she can concentrate on designing full-time, and she’s slashed prices on almost everything from 50-70% off. I’ve been so tempted by these ship mitts for a long time….though I really love just about everything in her shop!
I’ve also been lusting over the secret garden jacket for awhile now. This is totally my kind of blazer. Black denim with puff sleeves, plus the fabric has been hand
-dyed with wrought iron and key patterns. I mean, c’mon…I live in New Orleans, how perfect is that?
I’m really loving the acid wash fairy tale hobo bag, which was reworked from a vintage jacket, and the east meets west bag, which combines a vintage Asian-inspired brocade from the 50′s with acid wash denim from the 80′s. I love how fun and quirky her designs can be, while remaining totally wearable at the same time.
Tamera often sells her great vintage finds on eBay, though she has no auctions running currently. I managed to snag an amazing vintage silk Hanae Mori blouse through her auctions for cheap…it still had the original price tag on it – $180!
This lady has such a keen eye and creative sensibility…she always puts the most unique and interesting looks together. She studied both fashion design and theatrical costuming, so she’s definitely got the technical skills to produce these amazing results. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to point your browser to dainty & dirty…you won’t be dissapointed!
