Sarah Utter is the talented artist behind the famous “reading is sexy“ design
seen emblazoning t-shirts, buttons and bumper stickers. Her art and designs can be found at buyolympia, the purveyor of all things indie from Olympia, Washington, Sarah’s hometown. (BuyOlympia also carries other indie giants such as Queen Bee Creations and Little Otsu.)
In addition to her “reading is sexy” and “knitting is knotty” designs, Sarah also offers fun and fabulous graphic prints such as the golden seahorse to the right and the raspberry pony.
Her print entitled “Owl Party” is currently available for sale through October 8th on Pretty Darn Swell. The site offers limited edition prints by up-and-coming artists, and $5 from each sale is donated to the charity of the artist’s choice. Sarah’s chosen charity is Bay Area Doglovers Responsible About Pittbulls (BAD RAP), a non-profit dedicated to educating and encouraging responsible ownership practices and dispelling myths about the breed.
