Etsy Finds – Unicorns & Robots, Oh My!

by MissMalaprop on September 18, 2006

Zparkley's Unicorn LolaThis week’s first Etsy Find comes to you courtesy of unicorn aficionado MissMischief. Last night she pointed out Lola to me, this precious stuffed sock unicorn, created by Zparkley’s. This adorable unicorn is a new addition to a wonderful Etsy shop already filled with loveable sock monkeys and other creations.

Zparkley’s also offers custom themed monkeys upon request, as well as discounts if you purchase more than one monkey at a time. It’s never too early to start thinking about the perfect handcraftedRobot Stained Glass holiday gift for the little one in your life, and what kid of any age wouldn’t love one of these?

I also recently fell in love with this stained glass robot by Unblinking Eye Designs. Unblinking Eye’s Etsy shop features stunning and creative stained glass creations, as well as fused glass dishware, candle holders and holiday ornaments. Minneapolis-based artist Karen Bencke has been working with glass since 2001, when a random visit to a neighborhood stained glass shop piqued her interest in the art of stained glass.

I haven’t been able to browse as much as I’d like on Etsy lately, because I spent a good part of yesterday finally setting up my own Etsy shop.

I registered with Etsy not long after it first opened last year, but I’ve only now gotten around to getting my Etsy shop going. The shop is for dismantled designs, the original and reconstructed clothing and accessories that I make. Right now I’ve only got some of my fleur de lis pins and some other denim pins in the shop, but I’m planning to add more items soon.
