I heard about Good Magazine earlier today via Cool Hunting. This brand new magazine is out to change the world.
The premiere issue features an article about Kiva, a website which allows investors to give as little as $25 in order to help fund loans needed by aspiring entrepreneurs in developing countries.
Good also has projects for its readers to participate in…this month’s project is to create a bumper sticker that will make more people get out to vote.
Good Magazine “embraces this generation’s merger of capitalism and idealism”. When you subscribe to Good, they will donate your one year subscription fee ($20) to the charity of your choice. How’s that for good?

Mallory, what a great find! I feel like I learn so much from you and your posts!
) I’m on my way over to subscribe right now. I mean, how awesome is it that your subscription fee will be donated to a charity that I can choose!?!? Awesome! Thanks!
I know, right? I was pretty excited about it when I heard. I haven’t subscribed yet, but I probably will very soon.
Hey.. i read Good the first time it came out, and it was beyond good, it was amazing! But i haven’t seen it on sale since- do you know if i have to subscribe to get it?
Madison, I think you might have to. I havne’t seen it in any book stores. But they donate the subscription price to charity, so that’s the upside of subscribing.
The only reason I haven’t subscribed yet myself is because the mail system is still sort of screwing around NOLA…I tried subscribing to one magazine last fall and received one issue and none after that.
