I love reconstructed clothing and recycled fashion. Reworking unwanted clothing is something I do myself (dismantled designs), but I definitely have my own style and I love to see how others go about reinventing old clothes.
I really love the point of view of design team Tawny Holt and Julie Edwards of Armour Sans Anguish. All of their work has a sort of tattered, deconstructed yet super feminine and flirty look about it. They use a bit of everything to create this girly apparel – vintage fabrics and lingerie, reclaimed cashmere, wool, silk and jersey… Every garment they make is one-of-a-kind and absolutely divine.
They also produce the occasional children’s clothing as well as a collection of “naughties” made from vintage lingerie and underthings.
You can buy your own Armour Sans Anguish wearable work of art from their webshop or select boutiques, located both online and in person. Since every piece is one-of-a-kind, there’s bound to be something different and amazing at each shop. One of my personal favorites is the Partly Party Dress available at BTC Elements.
