The winter issue of What You Make It was just released late last night. “An online art zine of sorts”, this is the second installment of this web-based art, craft, and design magazine. The brainchild of Melissa Stajda, WYMI features original photography and illustrations, interviews with artist and crafters, and this newest issue even contains a rundown of “Top 10 Holiday Shopping Resources”, which highlights some of the best in independently produced shopping.
Today also marks the launch of Melissa’s newest project, The Stanley Family Lodge. A joint venture with her husband Jeremie, this new online consignment boutique is dedicated to providing you with environmentally friendly products, including vintage and independently made goods. They’ll be adding a lot more stuff to the store in the coming days, so be sure to check it out and keep checking back for updates. In keeping with their environmentally and socially minded ideals, The Stanley Family Lodge will be donating a portion of all profits to Amnesty International, so you can feel good about doing your shopping there this holiday season.
