I’ve been slacking a bit lately with the blog love, so today I’m bringing you three great blogs worth loving!
First up, check out the Big Easy Rollergirls blog. I’ve been to every BERG bout this season so far, and I’ve loved every minute. They’re currently recruiting referees, so now is a great time to join up if you live in New Orleans (plus guys & girls can join in on the ref action).
I’ve been kicking myself since last spring when the rollergirls held an open tryout and I didn’t go….I’d love to be a rollergirl myself, I just don’t have the time! There are roller derby leagues popping up all over the country lately, so find out if there’s one in your area. Roller derby bouts are definitely events not to be missed!
Next, try Nolé Style and Beauty Indulgence. I just discovered this one today and was delighted when I realized that such a well put together website & blog spotlighting independent businesses was created by a fellow Louisiana resident.
NoleStyleandBeauty.com was launched in early November by Ayana E. of Shreveport, LA. She’s already got a lot of familiar indie designers on her site & blog, plus there’s got a great indie gift guide with 50 products under $50. Did I mention how fresh and professional the site design looks?
Finally, look to the Dreams & Jewelry blog for “anything indie”. There are tons of really lovely, elegant indie picks on this blog, written by the lady behind Dreams & Jewelry, which is, you guessed it, a wonderful online jewelry shop. I really love this Singing Sweetly necklace. Order by December 15th to get your jewelry in time for Christmas.
