Now that the presents have been received, it’s safe to let the cat out of the bag– one of the places I did a lot of Christmas shopping this season was Naughty Secretary Club. Part of the Austin Craft Mafia, NSC uses lots of deadstock and vintage pendants to create cute, affordable and sassy pieces of jewelry.
Many of my favorite, most coveted pieces come from their Nostalgic Notions line. The Peek-A-Boo Ponies necklace is one that I’m hoping to find in my Christmas stocking this year, and I know Miss Malaprop wouldn’t be disappointed to find the Jumbo Jade Pachyderm in hers.
Jennifer Perkins, designer behind NSC, is something of a craft superstar…she’s even one of the hosts of Stylelicious on the DIY Network!
A sister company of the Naughty Secretary Site is Hot Pink Pistol. Hot Pink Pistol features repainted and customized clothing, shoes, bags, and paintings. Knowing her love of Dolly Parton, I’m sure Miss Malaprop would gladly wear the hand-painted DollyWood polka dotted shirt.
