I never cease to be amazed by the incredible assortment of stuff I find on Etsy. Lately I’ve been wowed by a number of talented independent fashion designers who are using Etsy to market their creations.
Clothes are my primary weakness when it comes to shopping, and the following two designers are really not making it easy for me to stay true to my no non-essential spending resolution.
I’m really, really, really in love with the cowl neck cotton jersey shirts by designer Senri. The design on the front of the shirt was inspired by window shutters! One of the things I love about this shirt is that it could be paired with jeans as easily as it could be worn with a skirt or slacks to the office.
This style comes in a number of colors, and for a professional quality handmade top, I think these are pretty reasonably priced. Other styles are available as well…I can’t wait to see more from this designer!
Another top I’m absolutely smitten with is this silk charmeuse blouse by BlackRabbit. I would have such trouble choosing a color to get it in though…black, plum, cream, gold, emerald green, peacock blue, Valentine’s Day red??? I’d want them all! And again, this is a shirt that would look super sexy paired with skinny jeans, but could look equally amazing for work with a tweed skirt. It’s hard to go wrong with something so classic.
Carina, the designer behind BlackRabbit, really has a great eye. I’m in love with so much of what I see in her Etsy shop and on her blog. If only money and closet space were no object…
