Eco-Inspired Home Decor

The eco-inspired design of Tammy Roy is simply lovely. Working primarily in reclaimed metals and wood (with many components salvaged straight from the dumpster), Tammy creates clean, modern accessories for your home.

circle_wallart.jpgI really love this suspended vase wall art piece, crafted from recycled metal washers and discs and featuring a reclaimed wine bottle vase made by Tammy’s friends at Green Glass. (By the way, Green Glass makes fabulous tumblers and drinking glasses out of recycled wine bottles.)

Find more of Tammy’s eco-friendly home decor designs, including lighting fixtures and beautiful decorative re-purposed metal bowls, at 180 Design.

VivaTerra is another great site specializing in eco-friendly home decor. They’ve got everything from furniture and bath accessories to lighting and wall decor, and they also have a gift ideas section that’s perfect for picking out green alternatives for wedding and housewarming gifts. VivaTerra is committed to products that are sustainably made and produced in a fair and ethical way.

I love all these “Eco-friendly” ideas and efforts! They are so fabulous, and you would last expect to find them in home decor options. I love learning new stuff about homes and decorating, especially when they are conservation minded. Theres this show on HGTV, Bought and Sold, Sundays @ 10pm, they have great ideas for homes and all sorts of related information. You can look them up here http://web.hgtv.com/webhgtv/images/pac/59889/start_at_home.html?section=boughtsold,panel=videos
I can never get enough info, and love to share information, so let me know if you have any ideas or things to check out too!
