I never thought I’d want to eat sushi and candy at the same time. Well, until I discovered Koo-ki Sushi and realized that candy and sushi could be one and the same.
It all started in 1994 when two sisters heard about a national contest that challenged people to create a cookie unlike any cookie before it. They were inspired by memories of making sushi with their grandmother to create a sushi confection, made from cookies, chocolate and other sweet treats.
Today the business is still a family operation, run by the two sisters and aided by their parents and other relatives. You can purchase these delightful handmade confections in their online shop, or if you’re ever in San Jose, California, you can stop by their retail location.
My mouth is watering just looking at their site!
