Last night I discovered the new Etsy shop of New Orleanian Kerry Fitts via a great blog called DIY Thing. I was already familiar with Kerry’s other shop, rustchic, in which she sells mostly recycled and salvaged bags and other textile pieces.
Her new shop Bayou Salvage is full of gorgeous cuffs and bracelets made from vintage and recycled leather, lace, and other fabrics. I love the deconstructed, eclectic look of these cuffs…they’re right up my alley!
Kerry has been setting up at Wednesdays at the Square, here in New Orleans at Lafayette Park. So if you’re a local, be sure to drop by and check her out. Maybe I’ll try to make a trip downtown this evening to have a peek in person. You can also see more of Kerry’s work on her website, Beulah By The Bayou.

Glad you noticed. We love to find indie artists from Louisiana as that is where our roots are. Wish I could be there for all of the great crafts shows. The next time I come down from New York I will have to see if I can see all of the local artists. Love you blog!
What a great shop, thanks for sharing!
