They use the itmes in their auctions or silent auctions to help raise money at special events. I got to create a fun basket of edible goodies for the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society a couple of months ago. When all was said and done, their event raised $64,000. Sure, my basket probably only went for a few bucks, but it's cool knowing that I helped them reach that total.
