I picked up some pretty cool stuff while at the Saturday Market in Portland. My absolute favorite find was my new recycled wrap skirt made by Lizzy of Shabby Knapsack (be sure to check her out if you’re in Portland…the website doesn’t do her work justice!). I also snagged some fused glass bobbie pins from Papaver Jewelry for myself and some sweet potato chews by Snook’s for my dog.
One booth I really loved and wish I had gone back to was Mugwump. Artist Suzanne Keolker makes wallets, pouches, totes and bags out of recycled materials. Some of my favorite materials she uses were maps and pages from discarded children’s books, though I also spotted a tote bag made from a Chinese checkers board.
Lucky for me (and you!), Suzanne’s work is available at a number of locations and events around the Pacific Northwest, but she also has an Etsy shop for online shopping.

Hi Maggie! No problem, your stuff is great!
Hi! Speaking of recycled, check out these great hats made from recycled sweaters. They come in infant, toddler and adult sizes. The infant ones are made of cashmere, http://www.tillyjane.net
