I worked in the telecommunications industry for 17 years and was a union representative most of that time. Wal-mart was taboo. Even when my oldest daughter went looking at colleges, they mentioned that there was a Wal-mart down the street and she immediately said, "I'm not allowed to shop at Wal-mart." After being laid off and not having a "real" job for 6 months, there are many days I think "hmmm, maybe I should go to Wal-mart... just this once." I think it would be interesting to read and see both sides of the story. I will DEFINITELY check out the Library if I don't win! I would love to read this book. I know where he's coming from, but it's invaluable for some things, like diapers and other staples you can't find for less anywhere else. Still, if he's with me when I turn into the Walmart parking lot, he stays in the car. Won't be long before my youngest is potty trained, thank God. ;-) My husband refuses to even set foot in Walmart.
