I got home from my New Jersey trip late Tuesday night (early Wednesday morning) and then I had to work yesterday so I’m still trying to get caught up on a million things. Soo… here’s a run down of a few things that are happening:
* Blog Action Day is this coming Monday, October 15th. I’ll be hosting the Etsy Bloggers Street Team Carnival. So if you’re a member of the team, be sure to submit your eco & Etsy themed posts from this week for inclusion! And even if you’re not an Etsy blogger, you can still participate in Blog Action Day. Just make a green themed post on your blog on Monday and help raise awareness for environmental issues.
* Awesome indie shopping portal Cutique is giving away this gift basket of handmade goodies, valued at over $125. All you have to do to enter the drawing is sign up for their mailing list before October 31st.
* New Orleanian Matthew wrote to let me know about a cool new site he’s been working on called Menu Orleans which offers scanned menus for restaurants all around the New Orleans area. It’s a great resource if you’re thinking about ordering take out or can’t decide where to eat. It’s still a work in progress, but you can submit scanned menus if you have one that isn’t already there.
* MissMalaprop favorite Envirosax just released a new line of their reusable shopping bags made from sustainable bamboo fabric. They’ve also got hemp and linen organic fabric
alternatives, plus their great graphic print bags now come in a cute retro kitchen series.
* Maki Squarepatch has a bunch of cute new goodies in their shop, like this beaver pouch, handmade from recycled materials, plus almost everything in the shop is currently on sale for 10% off as they make way for new stuff for the holidays.
