Just a quick note to say I’m back from my little vacation from the computer. I hope you’ve been enjoying the guest bloggers! There will be a few more guest posts coming up soon, as I catch up on things. We actually went away for a few days on a cruise to Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico! And I got to fulfill a lifelong dream – swimming with dolphins!
It was pretty exciting – I did a dolphin trainer program where we got to go behind the scenes and learn how they train the dolphins. When I was little, I wanted to be a marine biologist and study dolphins, so this was a big deal for me! When I was done, I met David (the boyfriend) and we loaded up on tasty chips and salsa and fish tacos and took a scooter ride around the town.
When we got back on board, he got to smoke a Cuban cigar under the stars with the Captain (since you can’t bring Cuban cigars back to the states), and he snapped a picture of me and my on-board crush, the chief purser:
David got him to take a picture with me and we chatted him up for a good 20 minutes. Originally from India, he also has a house in Cape Town, South Africa and also frequents Dubai when he’s not working. Apparently working for a cruise line is a pretty sweet gig! (Oh yeah, and he’s a Mac computer guy – just like us.)
I had a lot of fun, and it was a much needed break. I should be back on track and posting again regularly soon!

I love the picture of you & the dolphin! Just look at those rosy, sun-burned cheeks. I’m in 10 inches of snow right now, so to say I’m jealous is an understatement…
I am so jealous you swam with dolphins. This is something I have always wanted to do. Looks like you had a wonderful trip.
!!! The dolphins were pretty amazing! It was definitely a lifelong dream fulfilled. The place, Dolphinarius, was really nice, although in January the water was a little chilly. But that’s okay because I was swimming with dolphins.
Oh I’m so jealous! I have always wanted to swim with dolphins! That’s just amazing.
