Here is a little quick tip to get your Etsy shop further up in the Google search.
I have done some research and I have found the first thing that Google searches on Etsy when it sends out its spiders is your Etsy shop title. Your Etsy shop title is located directly under your sweet banner. Take a closer look at the picture below… you will notice my title.

This is how you change your Etsy shop title, under Shop Appearance:

You need to use words that have relevance in your shop. You can change words around to see what combination produces the best results. Feel free to search my shop title and see the results. My Etsy shop is in the top 10 with many different combinations of searches pulled from my title.
Good luck in 2009!!

Thanks for the great tip!
Tim – I found you on ETSY today, you are so very helpful with sharing your knowledge. I have set up shop on ETSY and I have a google account, but I cant for the life of me figure out how to get my ETSY shop name on GOOGLE.
PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!
Micheale
Micheale, if you’ve already followed Tim’s tips above, you probably just need to give it a little time. Google’s spiders usually take a little while to find and index sites, so if you’ve only set up everything very recently it might not show up in a Google search yet. Good luck with your Etsy endeavors, your website looks great!
