One of the things I really love about the modern handmade movement is how it helps to preserve and pass on traditional craftsmanship and artisan skills. It’s an important part of our cultural heritage that deserves to be kept alive. The artist behind Gala Glass, Angelo Tiozzo, is living proof of why traditional craftsmanship is so amazing and how it can be used to create beautifully modern works of art.
Angelo was born in Murano, Italy, the world’s premiere spot for glass artistry. He started learning how to make glass in the traditional way when he was only 11 years old and has been creating beautiful glass objects for over fifty years!
Gala Glass is now a family run business that offers up unique glass jewelry (earrings, pendants, rings, and bracelets), wine stoppers, ornaments, figurines, oil lamps and more. My personal favorite out of all of their products has to be the gorgeous spiral glass rings from the Aurora Collection, which also have matching earrings and pendants.
