I love the way that Tobi has chosen to tackle the whole recycled shipping thing. I’m a big fan of reusing and recycling both cardboard boxes and other shipping supplies whenever possible, but when you’re trying to look professional it can be a thin line sometimes between looking like you care about the environment and looking like a slob.
When Tobi decided to stop stop adding more waste into the environment and start reusing the cardboard boxes that they already had, they created this fun stamp to explain the appearance of their shipments; it reads “love an ugly box: reduce, reuse, recycle”.
Tobi stocks a large range of eco-conscious brands, including Loomstate, Matt and Nat, Envirosax, Alternative Apparel, Edun, and TOMS Shoes. Personally, I can only wish I had the cash for this gorgeous 100% organic cotton Mothette Dress by Prairie Underground.

Just found your great blog!! I will keep visiting
omg, that dress is amazing!!!
le sigh, if i had a million dollars….
I actually received (my first and only) neutral feedback on eBay for reusing a box. The user said it was “damaged”. I even put in my auction listing that I reuse shipping materials, but that everything will ship safely (which it did).
Leslie, that’s crazy! I think some people just need something to complain about, no matter what. I hope that as more large companies start doing things like using recycled shipping materials though, it will help remove the stigma from it and make it more acceptable to mainstream consumers.
Mal, that dress would look amazing on you. I think you should take up a collection amongst your friends.
