We had some friends over for the first poker night in our new apartment this weekend, and while the new place is coming together nicely, I can’t help but wish that we had some funky poker-themed hand towels like these to spice up the new bathroom:
These hand towels are designed and handmade by Kathy Steig, who has been creating them since 2006. She was inspired to start making them because her daughter, a clothing boutique owner in Seattle, wanted to start stocking some home accessories. Her daughter has continued to be an influence on Kathy’s designs, and her daughter’s involvement in the world of burlesque inspired Kathy to create a ton of new pin-up girl bath towels and hand towels, like this one:
I love all of the pin-up girl stuff, but I’ve got to admit, I’d still love a set of the penguin hand towels, since my boyfriend’s nickname is Penguin.
