I’ve seen a lot of variations on recycled paper products used to create cool accessories, but I think these bangle bracelets crafted from recycled magazines are a particularly stylish solution to the waste problem:

These look amazing– and out of magazines, love it! I just did a post about making coasters out of recycled magazines…I really like this idea too! Thanks for sharing.
Tori, those coasters are super cute! I love useful recycled crafts!
I’m a sucker for any kind of bangle, but these are especially cute/cool.
These remind me of my childhood. We recycled when recycling wasn’t cool…..haha…..my mom had craft projects to keep us busy in the summers and one project was using magazines to make jewelry. Seems we cut them in squares and covered them in some kind of glue….rolled them on knitting needles to get a good form….and used them as beads. Wish I could remember how we did them ’cause they were pretty cool.
Linda, were the beads sort of like these?

Hi Mallory, your post on paper bangles made out of recycled magazine paper was really good. The things that people make handcrafted items out of are truly amazing. We have so many things lying around at home that we hardly think could be used for anything creative. Perhaps that is part of creativity… finding a use for the common and the neglected! Great blog. Maybe http://climatarians.org can help you find other interesting and creative ideas.
