I’ve seen a lot of accessories made from recycled packaging materials, but the Harvest Mary Jane shoe by KEEN is definitely one of my new faves.
These babies are the perfect shoe for summer. Every pair is unique, since the uppers are made from repurposed woven rice paper bags, and the sole of the shoe is crafted from recycled polyurethane and cork.
KEEN regularly gives back to the community, and as part of its Hybrid.Care™ program, has donated $1.5 million to various non-profits since 2004. They are also committed to social responsibility and are constantly striving for sustainability in their manufacturing. Those are so fun, exactly what I’ve been looking for. I have a pair of black, mary jane keens that have stood up to camping, hiking and day to day trodding for over five years. Love how fun and summery these ones are, yippee! Thanks for sharing, I haven’t been shoe shopping in months and you saved me hours of looking. I do also still adore the Clark Mary Janes too but Keens are so durable.
