I recently caught up with designer Anna Pereira, who creates these amazing hand-painted inspirational tees and tank tops. She’s been painting and drawing since she was a kid, and now she transforms boring white tank tops with her artistic talents. Combining airbrush, free hand painting and other techniques, she can customize these tees to a customer’s specific requests. I chatted with her to find out a little more about her work.
Tell me a little about yourself and your work. I have been making custom hand painted shirts since I can remember! I am in my mid 30′s and still going strong! My designs inspire positive ideas and have spiritual connection as well as being bright, bold, artsy and beautiful. I mainly make womens printed and painted shirts but do some mens too.
How did you get started as a designer? For as long as I can remember I have used clothing as a way to express my art and myself. So I did some stuff for myself back in school and it began! People started asking me to make things for them… I have not stopped!
What inspires your work? Beauty, colors and spreading a positive vibe.
What are your fashion & beauty must-haves? A great pair of jeans, mascara and a sexy tank top!
What advice would you give to aspiring designers? Work hard, put out a great, well made piece and believe in your work!
