One of my lovely sponsors, Tammy Wilson from EarthLover, tipped me off to these pretty amazing recycled handbags and totes. They are made in Brazil by eco-artist Gabi Concalves, who takes recycled truck tarps, turns them into backpacks and diaper bags and then hand-paints them for a beautiful effect!
Each bag is a totally unique functional work of art and each one comes shipped with a special message from the artist in her native Portugese. (It also includes an English translation!) I really love these… they take the art of recycling to a whole new level!
