Alice and Isa, a fabulous online boutique that specializes in San Francisco based designers, is reaching out to show their support for my city, New Orleans. Starting tomorrow, October 1st, Alice and Isa will be working with San Francisco-based non-profit For the Bayou to raise awareness about our vanishing wetlands here in South Louisiana. They call it their “Treat Yourself, Save the Wetlands” campaign.

So start thinking about those holiday gifts early and save some money and help a great cause all at the same time!

Did you know that every 30 minutes, Louisiana loses the equivalent of one football field of wetlands? This is a huge environmental issue that of course affects those of us living in South Louisiana, but it has an impact on people all over the U.S. and beyond as well. You can find more facts here. For more information on what you can do to help protect our disappearing wetlands, check out the America’s Wetland Foundation or the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.
