I recently learned about a great little site for eco-friendly artisan jewelry called Turtle Love Committee. Based in Portland, Maine, they bring together jewelry that’s handcrafted by different artists using recycled metals and/or environmentally-conscious practices.
They’ve got great everyday jewelry pieces in addition to some really unique (and affordable!) wedding rings and engagement bands. I love these simple wedding bands made from recycled sterling silver:
They even offer a FREE fun pink sparkly engagement ring to use as a placeholder ring while you’re waiting to find that perfect ring or need to have your ring sized.
Turtle Love Committee also gives back by donating 5% of their sales to Cultivating Community, an organization also based in Portland, Maine that works to empower and train youth while providing fresh organic produce for needy families. I absolutely love what these guys are doing!
