A quick update on the oil spill mess: There are a bunch of people doing what they can to raise money for various wildlife groups and to help the fishermen and other people who are feeling the impact of this catastrophe. In addition to donating a percentage of all my regular sales from my online shop and from local events, I’ve also got goods in the Handmade Lousiana and HelpTheGulfCoast Etsy shops. Both shops are raising money for oil spill relief efforts. Check ‘em out!
I saw the new play, The Everlasting Bonfire, at the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane last night. It was really good – as one character put it, it was a mix between “Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, and history”. So perfect! The set was incredible – it’s like your crazy grandmother’s attic from a hundred years ago.
