What I Wore + a Swapnista Showdown!

Last Saturday, before heading out to tapas with friends at Baru on Magazine Street. (First time there! Delicious and BYOB!) And this Saturday is my BIRTHDAY! Which means turducken burgers at Saint Lawrence!!! (Sooooo excited about this, obviously.)

But first, this:

Tomorrow, Friday, July 27th I’ll be competing in a Style Wars fashion show challenge as part of the Swapnista fashion swap party along with fellow NOLA bloggers including Dorothy of NO(LA) More Chains, Rachel and Kate of The Elizabeth Chronicles, and Jasmine of Sequin Crush! (I’m fully prepared to rock some tribal print.)

Want to come cheer me on, or just come and swap some cute clothes? Here are all the details:

REGISTRATION & CLOTHING DROP-OFF: 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Bring 2-3 new or gently-used clothing, accessories or perfume to trade in. These should be items that you would be proud to give your best friend. Please bring clothing on hangers. Check out the Frequently Asked Questions.

HAPPY HOUR & SHOPPING: 6:00 to 9:00 pm
Enjoy light refreshments, giveaways and shopping discounts.

I love Baru- and the BYOB is kind of nice because it keeps our spending in check.

I love BYOB – our favorite restaurant in town, Bennachin, is BYOB too. Baru said something on their menu about a corkage fee, but they didn’t charge it for us. Win!
