I’m a huge fan of denim. I have so many pairs of jeans and denim skirts it’s not even funny. It’s also my favorite fabric to sew with…most of the recycled clothing and accessories I make are created out of old jeans. I just can’t stand to see my once beloved jeans go to waste, even if they get ripped and torn.
I’m not the only one out there trying to salvage old denim and breathe as much life as possible into well-loved jeans.
Denim Therapy is a unique company that specializes in reviving your beat up old blue jeans. They carefully evaluate the fabric of each pair of jeans to provide a customized repair of holes, tears, or rips. Their process isn’t about just slapping a patch on top of a hole. It’s more like completely reweaving the fabric.
This revamp will cost you, of course. The estimated fee is $7 per inch, but if it means being able to salvage your favorite pair of jeans instead of tossing them into a landfill, then maybe the cost is worth it. I’ve got my own ways of saving my destroyed denim, but for those who want to get a few more years out of their best jeans, this is one of the most original ideas I’ve seen around.

This is great info. Thanks.
