Okay, so my current fundraiser for Desire NOLA has gotten off to a slow start. May was a crazy month for me, and I just couldn’t put as much time into it as I would have liked. I’d like to change that in June. Sooo….

fdlminipin.jpgThe first lucky 13 people who donate $25 or more directly through the Firstgiving page will receive a free gift! Just make sure to allow me to see your email address when you’re donating, and I will contact you to get your mailing address.

I’ve also decided that for each regular item sold in my Etsy shop during the month of June, I’ll be donating $5 to Desire NOLA. If you buy a Fleur-De-Lis product (pin, barrette, skirt, or bag), I’ll donate $10 for that item. The same also goes for any in-person events you might see me at (I’ll be at the Crescent City Craft Market on Sunday, June 10, for instance).

And as always, even if you can’t afford to donate anything, you can help by spreading the word, both about this fundraiser and Desire NOLA itself. It really is a pretty amazing organization. They’ve done a lot to help local businesses here in New Orleans when the government (local, state, federal, all of it), hasn’t been as efficient at getting money to small businesses in need.
