In 2009, I created a tribute to the amazing Mardi Gras Indians out of salvaged fabrics for the Worn Again recycled fashion show.
For Mardi Gras 2011, I created a stuffed animal dress. Cause, you know… why not?!?
I’ve been making things and dreaming big for as long as I can remember. I loved making collages as a kid and doing anything crafty. While doing community theatre in high school, I got into sewing and making reconstructed and upcycled clothing. I later started making jewelry, using a mix of vintage findings and new colorful, fun materials. You can find my jewelry in my Etsy shop and occasionally at art markets around New Orleans.
I love art and design in all its many forms. Embroidery, cross-stitch and doodling are things I love to do… You can find some of my original illustrations and photographs on products on Zazzle, and occasionally on Teespring:
More recently, I’ve gotten back into the performing arts, with a different twist this time: in 2014, I graduated from the New Orleans Drag Workshop. You can sometimes find me performing around New Orleans as my alter ego, Glamdromeda Strange.
