Nancy Hoerdemann has always had a knack for presentation. Her studies and experience in fashion merchandising confirmed that she intuitively understood how a beautiful presentation immediately inspires the recipient to positively perceive the object she/he is about to receive. Today, Nancy’s professional experience has culminated in the creation of The Beautiful Gift, her exclusive line of gift bags made from rich, exquisite fabrics.
So, how does one make extraordinary gift giving become a simple and even practical exercise? And when does the gift-wrapping become as appreciated as the gift itself? That would happen when gifts are offered in luxurious gift bags by The Beautiful Gift. The bags are completely finished and include a bow and tulle fabric to substitute tissue paper, making the whole package exemplary of the Reduce, Reuse & Repurpose mantra. The Beautiful Gift is setting a new reality: when the presentation is enchanting, so is the gift!
The Beautiful Gift offers three sizes of reusable fabric bags, each in three color variations, perfect for a multitude of various sized gifts.
As Nancy says so well “Giving to others is what makes us better people. Giving something beautiful that fully evokes the emotions of happiness, love & gratitude is what makes us the best people we can be.”
Last Wednesday evening, Ashe and I headed to Decatur Street to Langford Market for a fun little event the ladies there put together for some local bloggers.
I got to see some of my favorite local bloggers like the adorable Dorothy of no(la)morechains and Paris of Where Sexy Met Classy, and I got to meet some other lovely ladies for the first time, including Juley of Swank Heights, Bronwen of Mission to Bywater, and Meghan of Fashionably Meg, who was my partner for a little styling contest!

You can see all of the outfits, along with the respective stylists, here on Facebook. Click “Like” on the photo to vote for your favorite outfit! The winning team gets gift certificates to Langford Market, so of course I’d appreciate your vote! (I think you might have to be a fan of Langford Market first though, not sure.) Either way, it was a fun time – we got to play full-size Barbie and dress those mannequins, plus I got to see a lot of fabulous ladies!

Tuesday at work I brought my camera so my co-worker Katie & I could take outfit photos for the Trashy Diva blog. (I’ve got a picture of her adorable outfit here.) I love this dress, which was from Trashy Diva’s spring collection, so I’m trying to figure out ways to make it feel more fall. I snagged this awesome sweater at Buffalo Exchange recently. Anything grey, I can’t resist. Paired with my favorite work-friendly heels from Pink Studio, I think this might be a look I wear again.
I’ll have these with me this weekend at Broadmoor High School Arts & Crafts Festival in Baton Rouge and of course the weekend after Thanksgiving at my Pop-Up Shop on Magazine Street! More details on both events, along with the rest of my holiday event schedule, can be found here.
What about you? Any exciting plans for the weekend?
It was a very busy Saturday I had! This was the first time I ever did 2 different shows in one day! I thought I might be crazy when I first signed up to do both, but I’m so glad I did. First up was the OCH Art Market at Zeitgeist, and then I capped off the evening with the first ever Night Market put on by the St. Claude Main Street organization. Both were a LOT of fun – thanks so much to everyone who made it out! I saw a lot of friends at both events on Saturday!!
It’s that time of year where it never stops. Baton Rouge folks – I’ll be in your neck of the woods this Friday & Saturday for the Broadmoor High School Craft Fair (another first for me to do!) and the weekend after Thanksgiving is the first round of my Pop-up Shop with Bayou Salvage!! You can check out my full upcoming event lineup here (I’m still looking for more events to squeeze in there too – I’m a hard-working kind of girl, don’tcha know!), and for you out of towners, remember, there is always the online shop.
What about you? Did you do anything fun this weekend??
