This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me, with the occasional guest post by other bloggers. I run this blog as part of my business, and so I do accept forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. That said – I only post things here that I genuinely like and think my readers would like too!

Editorial: I try to research products, services and organizations before I post about them, and make sure they are something I can truly get behind. I try to feature here businesses and organizations that are trying in whatever way to make the world a better place, either through their use of sustainable or ethical business practices, recycled or sustainable materials, or through growing local and independent economies as alternatives to big box chain stores.

Affiliate links: Some links to products you see here are affiliate links, which means if you click through and purchase a product, I receive a small commission. You are not obligated in any way to buy these products, and the commission I receive does not affect the price you pay one cent. I also run my own online store, and often link to products within my own shop as well.

Reviews: If a company sends me a product to review, I will review it fairly and honestly, and will say clearly in the post that the company has sent this product to me for review. If I do not feel that a product would be a good fit for my readers, I will not accept the product in the first place.

Sponsored posts and giveaways: On the occasions that I do a sponsored post or a giveaway on behalf of another company, I will state that clearly in the post that it is a sponsored post or a giveaway. I will only do sponsored posts or giveaways for companies that I believe my readers could benefit from.

Advertising: The banner ads displayed here may not express the views and opinions of me nor my contributors. I try to only work with advertisers that are a good fit for this blog, but sometimes in the process of using automated advertising services, ads may appear that I was not aware of prior. In these instances, I will work quickly to remove any objectionable content. I do my best to support my advertisers and sponsors, but there is no guarantee as to the amount of traffic that any specific advertisement may or may not generate for your website and I cannot guarantee your ad/sponsored post’s success with my readers.

Even though I may receive compensation for posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. (Or in the case of a guest post, the guest author’s own.) Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
